OUR SERVICES

HOUSING

New Beginnings’ housing will utilize universal design and smart home design.  Distinctive color coding and auditory cues on each floor. Textured flooring. Handrails installed throughout the entire building. Large print, raised lettering and braille signs. Laundry facilities on each floor.

MEALS

Meals will be served three times daily in our cafeteria.  Specific dietary needs will be accommodated.  Meal plans will be available for purchase.



CASE MANAGEMENT

Case management services will provide a roadmap to benefits, training, education and assistive technology and provide referrals to reputable community partners. An intake evaluation to identify client needs and goals will be performed and an individualized plan will be developed.  

HEALTH SERVICES

A nurse practitioner will be on-site several times a week to provide medical care and medication management.  Classes and workshops will be held.


COMPUTER/ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY

Clients will be referred to community providers for training.  Group classes will be provided in the facility computer room.  Community computers and CCTV equipment will be available for use by clients.

COUNSELING

Individual and group therapy will be provided on-site several times per week.  Classes and workshops will be held.



JOB READINESS TRAINING


Clients will be referred to community agencies and the Illinois Department of Rehabilitation Services for job readiness training.

MOBILITY & ILS TRAINING

Clients will be referred to community providers who specialize in mobility and independent living skills training.  On-site classes will be held as available.


JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Clients will be referred to community agencies with available job opportunities. New Beginnings will also actively advocate for job opportunities with Chicagoland businesses.
